The amphibious excavator, also known as a swamp buggy or a marsh buggy, is a specially designed excavator for traveling on swamps, wetlands, soft terrain, and shallow water areas. This is possible by its unique pontoons structure and hydraulic system, which enable it to float in shallow water while performing dredging operations. The pontoons are constructed from high tensile steel and are corrosion and seawater resistant.
